Method
1.Preheat oven to 170°C (150°C fan forced). Grease pan; line base and side with baking paper, extending paper 5cm (2 inches) above side.
2.Make cakes according to directions on packets. Spread mixture into pan, bake about 1 hour 10 minutes. Stand cake in pan 10 minutes before turning, top-side up, onto wire rack to cool.
3.Using sharp serrated knife, sculpt cake to make a flying saucer shape. Secure cake on cake board with a little butter cream.
4.Tint butter cream green with colouring,spread all over cake.
5.Using picture as a guide, position flying saucer lollies as windows.
Trim and position licorice bootlace to outline the windows. Position silver lollies between windows and around base; position one silver lolly on top of the flying saucer. Trim and position blue sour strings to outline base of flying saucer. Using picture as a guide, decorate flying saucer with remaining lollies. Sculpt the cake so it slopes from the middle out to the edge of the cake.
